My Destined Ones,

It’s okay if our creative minds are labeled as fugitives, constantly running away from the mediocre, from the forces that say to us, “No, you can’t”. Let your uniqueness cry out with a raised fist and say, “Yes, I can.” Embrace your uniqueness. Don’t let anyone tell you that losing yourself and discarding what makes you you is the only way to find yourself.

Don’t let them tell you that conforming is the only way to express yourself. Don’t let anyone measure your greatness by the standards preconceived, prewritten, and already set by others; rise up and raise your own bar. Create your own lane and drive in it. Don’t pick out a pre-made template and try to force yourself into it, cutting off the parts of you that don’t fit. Though people may compare you to others in your craft, just know that your uniqueness is beyond compare. You’re a diamond in your own right. You are who you are, and there is only one you.

So, they call you a ‘rebel’. So what? They say that like it’s a bad thing. Me? I never liked going with the flow. Following the crowd just ain’t my style. I decided to take the road less traveled, not because Robert Frost told me to do it, but because there’s something beautiful about forging your own way forward. In fact, why not take the road not yet traveled at all? Forge your own path; become a trailblazer in your field. And don’t ever let anyone tell you it can’t be done. Though they say there’s nothing new under the sun, think about what new things might be made under the moon, under the stars. The power of Creation isn’t reserved only for those who came before us: we are Creators in our own right. You’re not dough to be run through a cookie cutter. You’re unique. You’re beautiful. Be you.
